Our Partners
Binghamton University’s Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Partnerships manages the Koffman facility, staff, and programming, ensuring robust support for our start-ups. Supplementary support comes from three key business development centers housed within the Koffman: the Small Business Development Center, Trade Adjustment Assistance Center, and SUNY Broome’s Entrepreneurial Assistance Center. These centers provide critical resources and services, leveraging their expertise to foster innovation and growth. Our in-house programming, combined with the support of our partners, makes the Koffman a comprehensive hub for entrepreneurial success, guiding the progression of member companies and benefiting the wider community.
Space and Infrastructure
The Koffman Southern Tier Incubator, with its 35,000 square feet of offices, high-tech laboratories, common areas, and co-working spaces, is designed to foster collaboration and innovation. Tailored to meet the diverse needs of start-ups, the state-of-the-art facility provides perfectly sized spaces that inspire the creation and development of groundbreaking products and ideas. Built to support entrepreneurs and start-up companies, every inch of the incubator has been thoughtfully designed to create a dynamic and supportive environment where businesses can thrive, collaborate, and drive technological advancements and economic growth.
Accelerators and Training
The Koffman offers multiple in-house and virtual programs which provide the resources and guidance startups need to succeed. Our programs and trainings aim to provide learning opportunities for startups, students, researchers and entrepreneurs from all fields. No matter the stage of your startup, we offer supportive, accessible programming to drive your business’ growth and connect you with passionate peers. Our accelerators and select training programs do not require Koffman membership to participate but do require an application.
Resources and Funding
We provide one-on-one mentorship and access to industry and domain expert support to all Koffman members. Koffman startups also receive access to various funding opportunities, such as microgrants for prototyping, travel and other business expenses, paid student talent, NYS tax incentives, and vouchers for testing services.
