FuzeHub’s Manufacturing Grants
Part of the Jeff Lawrence Innovation Fund, FuzeHub’s Manufacturing Grants encourage collaboration between not-for-profit organizations and small to medium-sized manufacturers in New York State. These grants support companies from early-stage development to maturity, helping with technology transfer, new manufacturing processes, and innovative products. Manufacturers can partner with university departments, economic development entities, and organizations like the Koffman. Projects may include technology adoption, prototype development, equipment purchases, and more. To date, millions in funding have been provided to drive innovation and growth in New York State’s manufacturing sector. Grant applications are accepted twice per year, normally in the winter and summer.The American-Made Network

We support entrepreneurs as they participate in American-Made Challenges, or funding opportunities, and provide the resources, and necessary connections participants need to succeed in these competitions. Start-Up NY, operated by New York’s Empire State Development, offers new and expanding businesses tax-free operations for up to 10 years when located on our near eligible university or college campuses in New York state. By partnering with Koffman and Binghamton University, businesses gain more than just tax incentives–they also access advanced research labs, technology transfer offices, and industry expertise to fuel growth. Program Requirements:- Be a new or expanding business in New York
- Partner with a university or college
- Create new jobs and contribute to local economic development
Innovation Hot Spot: Fueling Startup Growth
The Innovation Hot Spot program, administered by New York State, provides funding and tax benefits for qualifying startups. The Koffman is one of 10 designated Hot Spots across the state. Startups in the program can receive five-year exemptions from state corporate income tax and sales tax on purchases. To qualify, your business must be less than five years old (or seven years for life sciences), a member of a participating incubator, and contribute to local economic development by creating jobs. BingTech Ventures LLC is an equity investment entity designed to directly support Koffman companies. Through strategic investments, BTV empowers promising startups, focusing on those with the potential to create significant local economic impact, hire 10+ employees, or leverage Binghamton University technology. Koffman members interested in investment should speak directly with their Koffman mentor for additional information.

The Koffman Company Support Program offers member startups funding to enhance their growth by participating in educational sessions, incubator or accelerator programs, micro-grant opportunities, and more. Members can receive up to $1,500 per activity, with a maximum of $3,000 annually per company.
