Soft Landing New York Program

The Soft Landing New York program equips foreign start-ups and entrepreneurs with the essential tools and connections to establish a solid business foundation in the United States. This program helps participants evaluate and navigate the U.S. market, set up operations, and integrate successfully into the regional economy. Participants benefit from one-on-one mentorship with Koffman staff and access to workshops and training on crucial topics like intellectual property, marketing, and customer discovery.

Koffman is the only organization in New York state with a Soft Landing designation from the International Business Innovation Assocation (InBIA). The program offers two virtual cohorts each year, lasting 3-4 months. Each cohort includes a week-long bootcamp at the Koffman in Binghamton, NY, featuring intensive sessions on customer discovery approaches for the U.S. market. Participants will engage in one-on-one customer discovery interviews with industry leaders, government representatives, potential clients, partners, and other key players in the New York State innovation ecosystem. Participants also receive a one-year free coworking membership at the Koffman Incubator, which includes mentorship, access to our programming, events, and network, along with many other benefits.
