The Koffman Incubator houses an ever-growing number of small businesses and start-ups, but none more (positively) notable than Bandalier. What makes them such a notable presence in the Incubator? Well, it is their … presence. Their team consists of near 30 part-time employees and are steadily growing this number. Founded in August of 2017 the company’s goal is to connect growing tech companies with a focus on sales.

One of Bandalier’s (not so) secret weapons is its army of student part-time employees. Southern Tier New York is home to Binghamton University and SUNY Broome, two major powers of higher education. Together, the two public universities enroll over 25,000 passionate students. Matt Scanlon, head of Bandalier’s Binghamton office, says his favorite thing about working with these SUNY students is their eagerness to learn. Though all of their student employees come from different backgrounds, they all share the drive and grit sought after for their structured interview process.

Their student part-time employees are provided with the knowledge and atmosphere to learn, connect, and grow. Given Bandalier’s heavy emphasis on continuous improvement, students find themselves in an environment that prepares them for their future and enhances their school experience.

Juliet Jordan, a political science major at Binghamton University, says her favorite thing about Bandalier is the atmosphere. Everyone is so quick to help each other when needed, work together as a team, and celebrate even our smallest successes. That’s something that I’ve found to be unique at the company. You don’t get to experience that elsewhere. Meanwhile, Leighton Blackwood, our resident model and a marketing major at Binghamton University, says I like the fact that as a marketing major, I can work to develop professional skills and experience that will make me a more attractive candidate as I apply to internships and jobs in the future all with a flexible schedule that allows me to balance my school work as well.”
